How this directory works
A free listing of UK carpenters and joiners, organised by town and by job, built so that finding someone takes a minute rather than an afternoon.
What we do
We list carpenters and joiners across every UK town and city with more than 10,000 people, alongside plain information about what each job involves and what it usually costs. You contact the business directly using the details on their page.
What we do not do
- We take no commission and sell no leads. Nothing you do on this site costs a carpenter money, so nobody has to price that in.
- Position is never for sale. Listings are ordered by how recently they were checked and how complete they are, and by nothing else.
- We do not rank or review businesses. There are no scores and no verdicts here. We publish facts about who trades where and at what.
- We do not copy ratings or reviews from other platforms. Those belong to the sites that collected them, and a rating lifted out of its context stops meaning very much.
How listings get here
Businesses are found through public sources: Google local listings, the trade marketplaces, accreditation scheme member lists and Companies House. Every listing is checked against at least two independent sources before it publishes, one of which has to be something the business itself controls. Each page shows when it was last checked, and anything not re-checked within eighteen months drops down the list and then comes off.
Getting something changed
Every listing has a Modify listing button that reaches a person. Corrections are free and unconditional. If you want your business taken off, say so and it comes off, with no questions and no attempt to talk you out of it.
A town is missing
A town page only publishes once there are at least three checked carpenters covering it, because a page with one listing is not much use to anybody. Towns are being added continuously. If yours is not here yet and you know somebody good, tell us.
