About Armitage Carpentry and Building
Armitage Carpentry and Building is a carpentry and building business in Gloucestershire led by Mark Armitage. The business carries out fitted wardrobes and storage, staircase replacements and repairs, repairs and restoration of doors, windows and timber features, wood panelling, bespoke carpentry, storage for dead space, kitchen fitting and media walls. Work is done for private clients, builders, renovation projects and new builds.
Mark started his apprenticeship with a local builder in the early 1990s and has been refining his trade across carpentry and building ever since. Every job is carried out by Mark personally, from first measure to final fit. The business covers Gloucestershire and the surrounding area.
Work begins with a free visit to measure up and talk through options. A written quote follows with clear pricing before any timber is cut. Bespoke carpentry includes alcove cabinets, window seats, benches, shelving, desks and one-off furniture, often matched to existing woodwork. The price guide for bespoke work is £250 to £5,000 and includes design and build.
Mark is born and raised in Gloucestershire and much of the work comes from repeat clients and recommendations. He arrives on time, keeps the work area clean, and leaves a tidy environment at the end of every day.
