About Cantua Home Services
Cantua Home Services is a carpentry and handyman business in Stevenage run by Sean Cantua. The business carries out custom-designed decks, stairs and railings, fencing and gate installation and repair, and shed building and repair. It also fits household fixtures and fittings, finish woodworking, blinds, doors and locksets, and carries out woodwork and wall painting. General handyman work includes lighting installation, appliance installation, basic plumbing, all kinds of repairs and maintenance, painting and decorating.
Sean learned carpentry with a construction company and started his own business in his twenties. The business is based in Walkern and covers Stevenage and the surrounding villages. Every job is measured, cut and finished by Sean. Work starts with a visit to measure and discuss the job, followed by a free quote.
Recent projects shown on the website include garden decking built from bare joists to finished boards, fascias and guttering replaced with a clean black finish, a built-in bay window storage seat made to fit exactly, a timber gazebo built from the ground up, and a staircase transformation with old treads stripped back, risers finished by hand, then carpeted and painted. Cantua Home Services is fully insured and holds a clean DBS certificate. Sean has 30 years carpentry and maintenance experience.
