About Chester Joinery
Chester Joinery is a family-run joinery business in Chester founded by Jason Pollard in the summer of 2015. Jason trained on a YTS course and holds City and Guilds Joinery qualifications. He has worked across the North West and beyond in design, sales, manufacturing, installation, training and management. In 2014 he was headhunted for a bespoke carpentry project in a mansion in Cannes, France.
The business specialises in fitted bedrooms, sliding wardrobes, fitted kitchens and bespoke fitted furniture including studies, display units, alcove units, bookcases and TV media units. Each design is made to measure and crafted to order. Work is carried out for homeowners and includes design, manufacturing and installation. An online estimation service is available for customers who want a rough estimate before booking a consultation.
Chester Joinery secured its first premises in 2018, which enabled in-house manufacturing of its own products. Jason's wife Adele joined as Accounts and Sales Manager in 2017 and handles day-to-day operations, administration and social media. She also works in the workshop and assists on installations. The business won two awards at the UK Enterprise Awards in 2023: Joinery and Fitted Furniture Company of the Year for North West England, and Bespoke Fitted Furniture Company for the North West at the Northern Enterprise Awards. In 2025 it won Bespoke Furniture Specialists of the Year at the Manchester and North England Prestige Awards. One client's 1930s home renovation featuring Chester Joinery alcove units was published in Real Homes Magazine in August.
