About Darvell's Joinery
Darvell's Joinery is a family-run joinery manufacturer based in Hemel Hempstead, established in 1991. The business makes fine timber doors, windows, staircases and mouldings for residential and commercial customers across the south east. It is owned and managed by two brothers, Dave and Tony, with family members in the work and administration team.
The workshop covers approximately 4,000 square feet and includes a dedicated shop for hand-crafted items. The business combines traditional joinery skills with a modern machine shop. Staircases are designed to suit space and layout, and the business works on listed and heritage properties, including projects for English Heritage and the National Trust. Windows for listed buildings are a speciality. Doors, mouldings and other joinery are made to order, and everything is created in-house.
Darvell's Joinery holds a wide selection of hardwoods, softwoods, sheet materials, staircase parts and ironmongery available for purchase from the premises. Customers are invited to visit the office and workshop to discuss projects, from single timber pieces to elaborate staircases. The business has worked for builders and architects across the region. The craftsmen have combined knowledge in bespoke joinery woodworking.
