About Day Bespoke Carpentry
Day Bespoke Carpentry is a carpentry business based in Croydon, founded by Jack Day in 2022. The business makes custom-made furniture, fitted kitchens with custom cabinets, garden gates and fencing, stud walls, sheds, driftwood lighting, and feature walls. Steam bending and glue laminating are offered to create curved and complex wooden shapes.
Custom furniture includes dining tables and chairs, coffee tables, shelving units, desks, home office furniture, beds and wardrobes. Kitchen work covers cabinets, countertops and complete kitchen design. Outdoor work includes garden gates, fencing, patios and unique outdoor structures. Internal work also covers flooring and internal doors.
Jack Day trained at East Surrey College with a BTec level 4 distinction in Art and Design, and graduated from the University of Plymouth with a 2:1 BA Hons in Product and Furniture Design. One of his carpentry pieces was selected for display at the 2023 London New Designers Show. He gained experience at Princess Yachts working on yacht interiors with precision tolerances.
The business follows a process of consultation, design, material selection, crafting, and delivery and installation. Customers choose from a range of woods and finishes. Free estimates are offered. Day Bespoke Carpentry emphasises sustainability and ethical practices.
