About GCF Carpentry
GCF Carpentry is a joinery business in Richmond upon Thames run by Gerard, who has worked as a carpenter in the area for over 30 years. The business makes and fits bespoke alcove units, cupboards, bookcases, media units, bench seats and window seats, and fitted wardrobes with drawers and hanging space. All work is custom-built to fit individual rooms in Twickenham and Richmond.
Alcove units and cupboards are designed with floating shelves or bookcases above them. Bookcases and media units range from traditional library-style shelving to modern TV and display units. Bench seats and window seats turn spaces into comfortable features, from bay window seating to storage benches and banquet seats. Fitted wardrobes are designed to maximise storage in bedrooms. Gerard offers both unpainted and fully finished options, using premium paints such as Farrow & Ball and Little Greene. For bench seating, local upholsterers can be recommended for cushions and soft furnishings.
The business covers Twickenham and Richmond. Gerard handles everything from initial consultation through to final installation, preparing as much as possible off-site to reduce disruption. Floors and furniture are protected during installation. Two finishing options are available: unpainted, with guidance on preparation and painting, or fully finished. All budgets are catered for, from simple budget-friendly designs to high-spec finishes. Gerard deals directly with customers throughout the process, offering a one-to-one service.
