About J Howlett Joinery
J Howlett Joinery is a furniture designer and cabinet maker based in West Yorkshire, run by founder and lead joiner Joe. The business creates contemporary and one-of-a-kind fitted and freestanding furniture by combining modern materials with traditional joinery techniques. Services include bespoke fitted wardrobes, fitted cabinetry such as bathroom vanity units, dressing rooms and boot rooms, and freestanding furniture pieces including island units and children's tables and chairs.
Joe completed a Fine Art degree focusing on abstract painting, then worked in an art gallery where he began learning joinery for gallery installs. He went on to complete formal training in joinery and furniture design, and worked for a joinery company before establishing his own business. His background in art and design, combined with his focus on detail and craftsmanship, shapes every piece of furniture made by J Howlett Joinery.
