James Wellesley Ltd is a joinery company that designs, manufactures and installs made-to-measure interior joinery for luxury residences. The business works with architects, interior designers, quantity surveyors, developers and private clients on schemes ranging from extensive wardrobe fit-outs, dressing rooms and cinemas to fully integrated kitchens and free-standing pieces.
The team includes designers, cabinet makers, finishers and installers, supported by a workshop equipped with the latest CNC technology. Work begins with design and development, using parametric CAD technology to produce fully detailed drawings. Material samples are provided to help clients choose from exotic timbers, specialist veneers, stone, leather, fabric, metal, ceramics and glass. Once manufacturing starts, specialist suppliers are engaged to source materials, and the team of artisans and cabinet makers craft each detail. Clients are welcome to visit the workshop during production. The dedicated installation team then manages delivery and fitting on site, liaising closely with other trades involved in the project.
Recent projects include dressing room cabinetry in doeskin and lacquered fretwork, kitchens in olive ash veneer and cream resin, ice white high gloss lacquered kitchens, and bathroom units in Afyon white marble with lacquered fascias. Sliding partitions, bar panelling with faux leather detail, vanity units and headboards with leather detailing are also part of the portfolio. Work features materials such as smoked oak, grey eucalyptus veneer, Calacatta marble and bronze antique mirrors.
