About M & L Joinery
M&L Joinery is a family-run joinery business based in Cardiff, founded in October 1995 by Martin Venn. The business has been trading for nearly 30 years and specialises in sash windows, bespoke doors, wooden windows, custom furniture and commercial joinery. Martin has 37 years of experience in the joinery trade and personally oversees every project.
The services listed include restoration and new installation of traditional box sash windows, draught proofing, single and double glazing, front doors, internal doors, bi-fold doors and French doors in hardwood and softwood. The business also makes alcove units, wardrobes, bookcases and media units, and carries out restoration work on period features and listed buildings. Custom windows in circular, arched and bespoke shapes are made to order. Commercial work includes shop fitting, office interiors and custom signage. Kitchen carpentry, garden projects such as decking and pergolas, and handcrafted furniture pieces are also offered.
M&L Joinery covers Cardiff and surrounding areas. Work begins with a free home visit to discuss requirements, followed by detailed design and pricing. Manufacture takes place in the Cardiff workshop, and installation is carried out with minimal disruption. The business holds City and Guilds trade certification, is rated 5-star on Google Reviews and carries public liability insurance of £2M coverage. Martin works directly with customers rather than through call centres.
