About Phillips Joinery Ltd
Phillips Joinery Ltd is a joinery manufacturer based in Ashbourne with an office in Derby. The business makes doors, windows, staircases, gates, shop fronts and made-to-measure joinery for domestic and commercial customers across the Midlands and nationally. Services include flood mitigation doors, fire doors, timber windows for listed buildings, traditional and contemporary staircases, driveway gates with automation, and ironmongery in traditional and contemporary designs.
Phillips Joinery Ltd was started in 1964 and has been trading from its Ashbourne office for 50 years. The business has two installation teams, all with CSCS cards and PASMA training. Work begins with a site survey, and the business provides design, manufacture, decoration and installation. Curved and arched work is produced, and existing sections can be matched. Pressure-treated external softwood is treated in-house, and Accoya modified wood is available as a sustainably sourced option with FSC certification.
The business is a member of the British Woodworking Federation and the BWF Certifire scheme as a Prime Door manufacturer. It holds BS EN ISO 9001:2015 approval, FENSA registration, and FSC and PEFC certification for sustainable timber. Many production staff have served apprenticeships with the business and remain long-term employees. Ninety per cent of clients are repeat customers.
