About R. P. Cooke

R.P. Cooke is a joinery company based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. It manufactures and fits sash windows in softwood or hardwood, single or double glazed, with sash cords and weights or spiral balances. The business also makes bespoke timber windows in casement styles, bespoke timber doors and screens, all mortice and tenon jointed in the traditional way. Custom made staircases in hardwood or softwood are manufactured for cottages through to larger properties, in straight flights, winders and turned stairs. General joinery includes curved, gothic or shaped pieces in any timber and design, glazed with single or double units and treated with preservatives, stains or polish as chosen.

R.P. Cooke specialises in windows and doors for listed buildings and conservation areas, matching existing joinery or altering to accommodate modern requirements. Commercial work includes counters, reception fitments, cupboards and storage for pubs, restaurants, clubs, offices and shops, using solid timber, timber veneers and plastic laminates.

The business covers Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Cirencester, the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean, with some larger jobs undertaken throughout the UK. R.P. Cooke has been established since 1980 and has worked from its current premises since 1986. All work is carried out by the company's own employees. The business supplies joinery only, or supplies and fits products, with site installers working to minimise inconvenience. Architects, designers and customers can discuss requirements in detail at the site.
