About Spencer Carr
Spencer Carr is a joinery and carpentry business based in Christleton, Chester. It designs and builds built-in and freestanding cabinetry, interior joinery and timber frame construction. The services listed are alcove cabinets, home offices, pantries, bootrooms, libraries, fitted kitchens, fitted wardrobes and bedrooms, utilities, dressing rooms, laundry rooms, media units, bookcases, custom furniture, studies and church fittings. Commercial shop fittings are also undertaken.
On-site joinery services include door installation, hardwood and engineered wooden flooring, wall panelling, skirting, architrave, trim mouldings and staircase installations. Spencer Carr also designs and constructs fully-insulated outdoor offices and studio spaces using timber frame methods. Each building is fully electric and energy-efficient, finished inside and out for year-round use.
The business covers Cheshire West and Chester. Projects begin with a face-to-face design consultation on site. A clear estimate follows, covering costs, timings, drawings and specifications. Design develops through discussion, with an initial proposal presented and then adjusted and refined until the customer is satisfied. A 10% non-refundable deposit secures the place in the work schedule for new customers seeking design services. Once the design and final quote are agreed, a deposit of 45% of the estimate is requested. The skilled team then carries out the work, and a final invoice for the remainder is issued once complete.
