About Tyro Carpentry
Tyro Carpentry is a carpentry and joinery business based in Port Talbot, serving South Wales. It designs and installs kitchens, makes bespoke joinery including staircases, fitted wardrobes, doors, bookcases and furniture, and carries out fencing, decking, media walls and general woodworking. The business works with timber-framed buildings and custom architectural pieces.
The team covers Port Talbot and the surrounding area of South Wales. Work begins with a consultation to understand the client's vision and requirements. For kitchens, the business discusses design options and how to use all available space, then guides clients through the process from initial design to the finished installation. Bespoke joinery projects use traditional craftsmanship alongside modern technology. Fencing and decking are designed to be durable and visually appealing. Materials are chosen for each project, and the business can fit items that clients have selected themselves or supply materials as part of the work. Tyro Carpentry has traded for six years and holds City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery. The team has training in health and safety, PASMA, IPAF and first aid. Free quotations are offered for all jobs.
