About Alcove Joinery
Alcove Joinery is a family-run joinery business in Edinburgh run by Kevin, who has worked in joinery since he was 16 and has been running his own business since his early twenties. The business designs and builds fitted wardrobes made to measure for individual spaces, including hinged wardrobes, sliding wardrobes and wardrobe interiors with custom drawer sections, hanging space and shelving. Kevin works closely with customers to design wardrobes around their space and style, then builds and installs them with care.
The business covers Edinburgh and works for homeowners fitting wardrobes in single rooms or across entire properties, including new-build homes. Kevin carries out the measuring, design and installation, and Elizabeth, who has been involved since their school days, manages the day-to-day running of the business, organises materials and helps plan project details. The process begins with a visit to measure the space, and samples of styles, colours and finishes are provided to help with choices. Kevin and a colleague then fit the wardrobes and leave the space clean afterwards. Customers deal directly with Kevin throughout each project. The business has built a reputation for creating fitted wardrobes that stand the test of time.
