About Christian Anstice Woodworks
Christian Anstice Woodworks is a joinery business run by Christian Anstice. The business creates free-standing furniture, kitchens made to measure, fitted wardrobes, architectural joinery, hand-crafted doors, period renovations, windows and shutters. Work is made to order in contemporary and traditional styles, or blending both together.
Christian uses traditional joinery techniques including dovetail joints in drawers, mortice and tenon joints in loose panelled doors, and housing joints in shelves. The business also repairs and upcycles old furniture, doors and wardrobes to extend their life. Christian is a member of The Guild of Master Craftsmen.
Wooden furniture built to last acts as a form of carbon capture, and Christian approaches work with a focus on reducing waste. Each piece is made to individual requirements rather than from off-the-shelf designs. The work spans contemporary and traditional periods, and period renovations are undertaken for customers seeking to restore older properties.
