About MW Creative Carpentry
MW Creative Carpentry is a made-to-measure furniture design company based in Haringey, London, run by Martin Wells. It designs and makes furniture and storage for homes and businesses, including fitted wardrobes, shelving units, media units and alcove storage. The business works with birch plywood and laminate surfaces, and also offers a selection of materials including paint finishes, veneers and colours that can be matched to customer requirements.
Every project begins with a free phone consultation to discuss objectives and provide a ballpark estimate. If the customer wishes to proceed, a site visit follows to take measurements and explore materials, colours and finishes. The business then creates 3D design drawings so customers can visualise the furniture in detail and work on the project until the design is agreed. Once approved, fabrication takes place in the fully equipped London workshop to ensure every piece fits together correctly before installation on site, which involves minimal mess and disturbance.
The design phase costs start at £500 plus VAT. A 60% deposit is requested to cover materials and manufacturing once the final design and quote are approved. A further 20% payment is due before installation begins, and the remaining 20% balance becomes due after completion. MW Creative Carpentry covers Haringey and surrounding areas of London and Essex. Recent projects include a walk-in wardrobe in Islington and a media unit in Shoreditch.
